The Dominican Republic's national spiced infusion -- rum and red wine steeped with honey, tree bark, and herbs, tracing back to an alcohol-free Taino herbal tea that got rum and wine added to it after colonization. Deep red, faintly sweet, and served straight rather than mixed into anything else.
