  • Simple syrup0.25 oz
  • 3 dash
  • 0.25 oz
  • Lemon peel(garnish)

Glassware: Rocks glass

Ice: None (served up, rinsed glass)

Equipment: Mixing glass, Jigger, Bar spoon

Steps

  1. 1Rinse a chilled rocks glass with anise liqueur and discard the excess.
  2. 2Stir rye, simple syrup, and bitters with ice in a separate mixing glass.
  3. 3Strain into the prepared glass (no ice).
  4. 4Express the lemon peel over the top and discard.

Garnish: Lemon peel, expressed and discarded
