Rye, sugar, and bitters stirred in an anise-rinsed glass.

- Lemon peel(garnish)
Glassware: Rocks glass
Ice: None (served up, rinsed glass)
Equipment: Mixing glass, Jigger, Bar spoon
Steps
- 1Rinse a chilled rocks glass with anise liqueur and discard the excess.
- 2Stir rye, simple syrup, and bitters with ice in a separate mixing glass.
- 3Strain into the prepared glass (no ice).
- 4Express the lemon peel over the top and discard.
Garnish: Lemon peel, expressed and discarded
