Steps

  1. 1Warm two metal mugs and dissolve sugar in the hot water in one of them.
  2. 2Warm the whisky and carefully ignite it (adult supervision, keep well away from flammable items, loose clothing, and your face).
  3. 3Pour the flaming whisky back and forth between the two mugs a few times to aerate, then extinguish, combine with the sugar water, and garnish with a lemon twist.
